Exploring the link between literature and news

The Day Connections are a great way for English teachers and librarians to make the link between set texts, important authors, iconic films, and the real world.

This popular feature uses current affairs and the latest news stories to give meaning and relevance to every lesson. 

Each Connection covers five key themes e.g. love, women's right or languages and shows how these themes link to the modern world with up to date news stories, increasing engagement and showing why these texts matter.
